Our area of the Lake District holds something for everyone; you can take a quiet stroll or more demanding hike, ride, climb or just enjoy the fantastic scenery, sunrises and sunsets. You may prefer to take in the architectural and industrial heritage of Cleator Moor and the surrounding villages. A vast selection of sporting clubs and facilities, from junior football to the award winning Wath Brow Hornets, will leave those of you who like to keep active spoilt for choice. The network of Cycle Paths, which run through the area, have many sculptures from local and visiting artists and local school children to add to the natural beauty of the area.

If shopping takes your fancy, the towns and villages have a wide variety shops and retail outlets, from the international Kangol Factory shop to Birketts garden centre.

There's also plenty for young people to do, with Go Karting and youth clubs being just some of the activities available. With many play parks built around the town and villages, the children will always have somewhere to play and something to do.
