Outline Planning Permission granted by Copeland Planners for new Primary Medical Centre at Birks Rd, Cleator Moor. Copeland councillors agreed to a new doctors and dentist surgery at Birks Rd, Cleator Moor. This is a new type of health centre and it will be the first in Cumbria.
This multi million pound health centre will greatly benefit the health of local residents and others and will be a major step forward in the regeneration of Cleator Moor town centre. Regen North East Copeland Board of Directors and staff are delighted that their work with many other partners including our local MP Mr. Jamie Reed has been awarded. It is expected that the centre will come into operation in 2010 and will replace the existing Wyndham St surgery and Beech House surgery at Wath Brow. Four Dental Practices and a Dispensing Chemist amongst many other health and community care providers are expected to be part of this marvellous and new to Cumbria venture. |
